It establishes foundational knowledge of deposit banking, the role of the RBI, and the structural classification of scheduled banks.
  • Deposit Mobilization & Customer Services
    • This module explores deposit mobilization strategies, account opening and operational guidelines, customer-centric deposit services, and the regulatory framework governing NRI deposits and deposit insurance. It also introduces fundamental principles of lending connected to deposit safety and liquidity.
  • Credit Policies & Regulatory Compliance
    • This module focuses on structured credit policies, RBI credit stipulations, capital adequacy norms, exposure limits, lending rate mechanisms, and fair practice codes. It provides a strong foundation in loan appraisal techniques and types of advances used in commercial banking.
  • Lending Operations & Recovery Mechanisms
    • This module covers operational aspects of business lending, including working capital finance, project finance, SME lending, retail credit, priority sector lending, NPA classification, debt restructuring, and legal recovery under the SARFAESI Act.
  • Bank Investments & Treasury Management
    • This module explains bank investment operations, statutory reserve requirements (CRR & SLR), non-SLR investments, investment classification norms (HTM, AFS, HFT), and treasury management functions including liquidity and foreign exchange operations.
  • Payments, Remittances & Para Banking Services
    • This module explores payment and settlement systems including cheque clearing, RTGS, NEFT, and digital payments. It also examines NRI remittances, primary dealership, merchant banking, mutual funds, pension funds, and para banking activities that diversify modern banking services.
