  • Module 1: UDAAP Foundations, Risk Management, and Enforcement
    • In this module, you will explore the foundational principles, risk areas, and enforcement landscape of Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) under the Dodd-Frank Act. You will begin by exploring the legal framework, regulatory structure, and three-part tests used to determine unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices, while understanding how regulatory agencies such as the CFPB, FTC, and prudential regulators enforce compliance. The module examines high-risk areas such as marketing, loan origination and servicing, debt collection, add-on products, payment processing, and digital channels, including fintech and dark patterns. You will learn how to implement preventive controls, ensure clear disclosures, and apply proactive risk management strategies. Finally, through real-world enforcement cases, you will understand regulatory expectations, penalties, employee responsibilities, and proper escalation procedures to maintain strong UDAAP compliance in daily operations
