"In October 2020, the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education announced the results of the first batch of national first-class undergraduate courses - Yunnan Characteristic Folk Crafts was selected as a national offline first-class course."

  The course aims to enable learners to understand the artistic and cultural value of Yunnan Characteristic Folk Crafts; to recognize that folk crafts are an integral part of people's lives, and to make it a general course with strong professionalism, vocationality, science and practicality, and comprehensiveness.

  The course includes Yunnan's characteristic folk crafts - Heqing Bai silver craft, Longchuan Achang Tusar knife craft, Wuxue tin craft, Huize zebu copper craft, Kunming wucong walking silver craft; Jianchuan Bai wood carving craft, Xishuangbanna Dai bamboo weaving craft, Xishuangbanna Dai handmade paper craft, Shangri-La Dongba handmade paper craft; Jianshui purple pottery craft; Tengchong and Ruirui folk craft; and Tengchong and Ruirui folk craft. Purple ceramics; Tengchong and Ruili jade carving process, Jianchuan stone carving process; Dali Bai tie-dyeing process, Xishuangbanna Dai brocade craft, Shiping Yi flower waist embroidery, Wenshan Yi Baixs Batik, Zhaotong Banna carpet craft.

  The course enables learners to understand the craft of birth, materialization, decorative beauty in life at the same time, but also to perceive the harmony between man and nature in the region of the craft; in the process of reading the rich humanistic connotations of the process of letting the hands to experience the creation of things and the wisdom of the blend, to help learners to establish a new aesthetic of life from the creation of things to the production of the initial values of the realm.

  The learning method of this course emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, with the "Dali Traditional Crafts Workstation" of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as the radiation center, supplemented by 26 resident crafts training bases as the learning group, combined with the on-campus experimental centers for the implementation of practical teaching; thus guaranteeing the internalization of the cognition and emotion of the characteristic folk crafts of Yunnan from the conception to the practice.

  The total number of offline courses is 64 hours, including 22 hours of theory and 42 hours of practice.

  The online courses total 550 minutes.
