This course constructs a "technology-business society" integrated teaching system with China's fintech practices as a case study, which holds multiple values in the context of the globalization of the digital economy. From an industry perspective, the course systematically outlines the complete path of China's fintech development from technological catch up to model innovation, providing practical experience for global digital finance development. From an academic perspective, it analyzes the intrinsic mechanisms of technology empowering finance, revealing how innovative technologies such as big data and block-chain are reshaping the financial services ecosystem. From a social impact perspective, it showcases the unique value of fintech in promoting financial inclusion and serving the real economy through cases such as mobile payment inclusion and intelligent risk control. The course particularly emphasizes the interactive relationship between Chinese practices and global trends, interpreting cases such as Alipay and WeChat Pay going global while also exploring cutting-edge innovations in China's fintech, helping participants build a cognitive framework that combines local insights with a global perspective.
This course is systematically structured around four key learning objectives. In terms of knowledge, the course focuses on analyzing the core principles of big data, blockchain, AI, and other technologies, as well as their practical applications in scenario such as payment settlement and intelligent risk control. In terms of skills, the course uses case studies of China's fintech evolution through three stages "digitization, internetization, and deep integration to cultivate students' interdisciplinary analytical abilities. In terms of perspective, compares regulatory frameworks and market ecosystems between China and other countries, interpreting China's global practices. In terms of practical application, it features case studies of typical companies, helping students master the methodologies and business logic of fintech product design.
