Build upon your existing knowledge of French wines by continuing your educational journey with us in the classroom. This week, we transition from the cool-climate wines we studied previously in the northern regions to explore the warm-climate wines that define the southern areas. Taste and learn about French wines that inspire imitation worldwide but remain truly incomparable in their authenticity and character.
Throughout this course, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the distinct warm climates, diverse grape varieties, and varied wine styles characteristic of southern France. Our exploration will take us through the major wine regions, including Bordeaux, Beaujolais, the Rhone Valley, and the highlights of the southern regions spanning from Sudouest to Provence.
