This course introduces the basic concepts of network and circuit analysis which is the foundation of the Electrical, Electronics Engineering and allied circuit branch disciplines. The course emphasizes on understanding different types of connections in electrical circuits and analysis of the same to determine voltage, current and power through different elements as a response to both AC and DC sources.First half of the course is devoted to working principle of circuit elements, DC circuit analysis, circuit theorems and steady state analysis using phasor theory. Second part of the course deal with response of Inductor, capacitor and resistor in AC circuits, and their frequency dependent response. The course also provided flavor about analysis of the circuit through mathematical approach of Laplace transforms and Fourier transforms.
