Key topics include transformational, distributed, and teacher leadership approaches.
  • Instructional Leadership 1950–2018
    • This module explores the historical evolution of instructional leadership, tracing its development from the 1950s through to the present day. Learners will analyze how shifts in educational theory, policy, and practice have shaped the role of school leaders. It provides insight into the global impact of instructional leadership on teaching and learning outcomes.
  • An Ethics of Educational Leadership for Turbulent and Complex Times
    • This module explores the evolving nature of ethical leadership in education, focusing on how leaders can address complex, future-oriented challenges while balancing traditional moral responsibilities. It examines new perspectives such as sustainability and 'wicked' problems to develop more adaptive and inclusive leadership practices.
  • Solo and Shared Leadership
    • This module explores the evolution of educational leadership, focusing on shared and distributed leadership models. It examines how these approaches influence school practices, decision-making, and organizational dynamics. Learners will gain insights into the theoretical and practical implications of leadership in educational settings.
  • Excellence in Educational Leadership
    • This module explores the essential leadership practices and virtues that shape educational effectiveness, focusing on ethical decision-making, problem-solving, and the development of strategic, analytical, imaginative, and interpersonal capabilities. Learners will gain insights into how these qualities contribute to student outcomes and organizational success.
