Your Workshop Experience:

Join us for a comprehensive ninety-minute journey exploring every aspect of creating an Instagram-worthy charcuterie board. During this time, your group will craft homemade pickled vegetables, prepare savory mostarda condiment, and form beautiful salami roses. You will learn professional arrangement techniques, flavor pairing principles, and presentation strategies that elevate your board from simple snack platter to stunning centerpiece.

Materials You Will Need to Fully Participate:

Pantry Staples

  • One and one-quarter cups white wine vinegar
  • One and one-third cups granulated sugar
  • Two teaspoons salt
  • One-half teaspoon black peppercorns
  • Two bay leaves
  • One tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • One cup roasted and salted nuts of your choice (cashews, macadamia nuts, almonds, and hazelnuts all work beautifully)
  • Jam or preserves of your preference
  • Crackers and/or artisan bread

Fresh Produce

  • One bunch fresh baby carrots
  • Three medium apples
  • Fresh fruit that holds up well when cut, such as grapes, strawberries, figs, cherries, or plums

Cheese Selection: Two to Three Varieties

  • One soft cheese (such as creamy brie);
  • One firm cheese (such as aged cheddar, Parmesan, gouda, or gruyere); and
  • One strong or pungent cheese (such as blue, goat, or washed rind varieties)

Meat Selection: Two to Three Varieties

  • Prosciutto (or other fancy thinly-sliced ham varieties, such as serrano or Iberico);
  • Salami of your preference; and
  • Coppa, mortadella, or pate

Additional Equipment Required:

  • Cutting board for preparation
  • Sharp knife
  • Large serving board or platter for your finished charcuterie presentation
  • Small bowls and appropriate serving utensils
  • Saucepan for cooking condiments
  • Two two-cup jars or food-storage containers
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Wine glass or water glass for creating salami roses
