Gain comprehensive knowledge about wines produced in moderate climate zones across the globe. During this class, traveling metaphorically at 10,000 feet altitude, you'll examine worldwide climate patterns and their significant influence on wine characteristics as we navigate through the world's wine regions using your tasting glass. We move away from the extremes of polar and tropical climates to focus on moderate zones, exploring both white and red wine varieties sourced from the heart of France, central Italy, northern Spain, and the California wine regions.
Our structured wine tasting will present six to eight wines, with focus given to the distinctions between New World and Old World production styles, featuring notable examples of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, and Sangiovese varieties.
