The 22-Hour Site Safety Training (SST) course provides comprehensive instruction on construction site safety requirements mandated by New York City. The online component of this course serves specific training purposes, though workers must complete in-person training to obtain the official SST Card for use on job sites. Who Should Enroll:
New York City Local Law 196 requires construction supervisors, competent persons, construction superintendents, site safety coordinators, site safety managers, and concrete safety managers to maintain approved site safety training credentials and carry valid SST identification cards. This course fulfills those compliance requirements.
4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Training Description:
This mandatory course covers the foundational elements of supported scaffold safety as required by NYC Local Law 52. It introduces workers to hazards associated with scaffold work, including falling hazards, electrical hazards, and other workplace dangers. Topics include proper scaffold inspection procedures, hazard recognition techniques, and appropriate protective equipment selection and use. Upon successful completion, students receive a photo identification card valid for four years.
8-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher Description:
This refresher course reviews content from the comprehensive 40-hour Site Safety Manager Course and the 8-hour Site Safety Coordinator Course, providing in-depth coverage of Chapter 33 regulations and New York City rules protecting public safety. Students gain practical knowledge of safe job practices specific to New York City construction environments, learn to identify hazards common to urban construction sites, and understand necessary work procedures and methods required on active job sites.
2-Hour Pre-Task Meeting Training Description:
This course teaches practical methods for conducting effective pre-task safety meetings that positively impact workplace safety culture. Students learn how competent persons can properly inform employees about risk control action plans, hazard mitigation strategies, and exposure prevention measures. Please note this is awareness-level training that provides no additional qualification or authorization beyond the SST Card.
2-Hour Site Safety Plan Training Description
Students gain comprehensive knowledge of site safety planning requirements and understand how competent persons develop effective action plans. Topics include organizing designated safety zones for pedestrians, employees, and equipment on construction sites. Please note this is awareness-level training that provides no additional qualification or authorization beyond the SST Card.
2-Hour Tool Box Talks Instruction Description:
This course teaches participants how to deliver effective "tool box talks" that address specific safety topics and help employees prevent hazardous situations, improve safety equipment usage, and maintain awareness on job sites. Please note this is awareness-level training that provides no additional qualification or authorization beyond the SST Card.
2-Hour General Electives Description:
Students receive training in First Aid and CPR fundamentals and learn protective measures against sun exposure and heat-related illness. Please note this is awareness-level training that provides no additional qualification or authorization beyond the SST Card.
2-Hour Specialized Electives Description:
This course covers flagger responsibilities and safety procedures for entering and working within confined spaces, preparing workers to recognize and respond to associated hazards. Please note this is awareness-level training that provides no additional qualification or authorization beyond the SST Card.

Successful Course Completion Requirements:
To successfully complete the 22-hour SST course and receive your SST Card, you must:
- Complete all four required courses: the 6-hour Management course, 4-hour Electives course, 4-hour Supported Scaffold User course, and 8-hour Site Safety Manager Refresher course
- Communicate clearly with your instructor and complete all paperwork in the language in which the course is delivered; no personal interpreters are permitted
- Complete all required paperwork, including registration forms, evaluation sheets, and attendance records
- Attend all required course hours; any make-up sessions must be completed within six months of your start date
- Actively participate in class activities and course reviews
- Achieve a passing grade of 70 percent or higher on all course assessments
No exceptions will be made to these requirements. Partial credit is not awarded for any course component. Please note that your SST Card and certificates will not be released until your full payment has been received. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, money order, debit card, or credit card.

Prerequisites:
You must hold a valid 30-hour OSHA card that was completed with an approved OSHA instructor or accredited online training provider. If we cannot verify your OSHA card, you will not qualify for an SST card. Completion of this 22-hour course does not guarantee SST card issuance without proper OSHA card verification.
Certificate and Card Release Procedures:
Certificates and cards may be picked up in person or mailed to your address at your expense. You will receive a notification when your credentials are ready. All mailings are sent via USPS Priority Mail with tracking codes. A $10 mailing fee applies and must be processed before delivery; you may add Signature Required delivery protection for an additional $2.50 (total $12.50). We offer this enhanced security feature due to recent delivery issues. If your mailed item is lost, you are responsible for replacement fees. If you want your certificate released to someone other than the person listed on your registration, provide that name in advance. Valid identification and signatures are required when releasing certificates. Cards and certificates cannot be released until full payment is received.
Certificate Replacement Policy:
To request a replacement certificate or card, provide the following information: student name, course name, course date, and instructor name. A $50 replacement fee applies to all certificate and card replacements.
Cancellation Policy:
To cancel your course enrollment, you must contact the school at least seven business days in advance to receive a full refund. Students who contact the school after this period are ineligible for refunds but may use their paid deposit toward course enrollment within six months.
