Course Information:
10 Hour SST course contains:
- 8-hour Fall Prevention (SST – 307)
- 2-hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness (SST – 302)
NYC Requirement: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’).
8 Hr Fall Prevention Description
This course provides construction employers and employees with information on recognizing potential fall hazards at their worksites and suggests ways to avoid, minimize, control or prevent the hazards whenever possible.
2 Hr Drug and Alcohol Awareness Description
According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Heath, the construction industry has the highest rate of workplace drug use. Substance abuse is a factor in 35 percent of injuries and fatalities, 38 percent to 50 percent of all worker's compensation claims, and 40 percent of thefts. Substance abuse is increasing the risks which affect overall job safety and work efficiency. Substance abuse includes, but is not limited to the use of marijuana, heroin, ecstasy, methamphetamine, cocaine, opiates, amphetamine and large amounts of alcohol.
The goal of this course is to address substance and alcohol abuse and particularly focus on educating workers on safety and productivity hazards created by the abuse of alcohol and other drugs in the workplace.

Successful Completion
In order to successfully fulfill the requirements for completion of the SST 10 Hr course, students must:
- Complete 2 Hr Drug and Alcohol Awareness course and 8 Hr Fall Protection courses
- Be able to clearly communicate with the instructor and complete all paperwork in the language the course is delivered in. No personal interpreters permitted.
- Complete all required paperwork: registration, evaluation, attendance, etc.
- Attend all required hours of the course. Any make up sesisons must be completed within six months from the start date.
- Participate during class activities and reviews.
- Complete tests with a passing grade of 70%.
No exceptions will be made. No partial credit awarded for any course. Please be advised that cards/certificates will not be released until balance has been paid in full. Payments can be made with cash, check, money order, or debit/credit card.
CEUs Awarded: 1 CEUs Course
Prerequisite: 30 Hr OSHA card - completed with an approved OSHA instructor or approved online training provider.
Please note if we will not be able to verify your card you will not qualify for an SST card. Completing of the 32 Hr course does not guarantee the issuance of an SST card.
Certificate Release Rules: Please note, certificates and cards can be picked up in person or mailed to you at your expense. You will be notified once they are available. All certificates and cards are sent using USPS Priority Mail with tracking; a fee of $10 applies and must be processed before mailing out your certificate/card. For an additional $2.50 fee (for a total of $12.50) you may add the Signature Required mailing option to your item. We are now offering this extra security feature as a precaution due to recent discrepancies. If the mailed item is lost and/or a replacement is needed, you will be held responsible for the replacement fees. If the student would like to have their certificate released to someone else, other than the persons provided on the registration form, they must provide us with the name at this time. ID’s and signatures are required upon release of certificates. Certificates cannot be released until payment has been received in full.

In order to request a replacement certificate or card, please provide the following information:

A $60 replacement fee applies to all certificates and cards.
