Course Introduction (Computer Version): This course is designed with the foundational theories of TCM as guiding principles, including the man-nature correspondence, holistic concept, treatment based on pattern identification, the theories of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, Zang-xiang theory, and the theories of Qi, blood, and body fluids. It aims to teach the principles, methods, prescriptions, meridians, collaterals, and acupoints of TCM, alongside practical techniques for health preservation and disease prevention such as Tuina, moxibustion, cupping, and Guasha. The course seeks to enable students to understand the basic principles of disease prevention and treatment in TCM and to use simple and practical TCM techniques for health preservation and disease prevention to a certain extent. It helps students learn about TCM knowledge and culture, acquire common TCM health preservation techniques to a certain extent, and foster a better understanding and appreciation of TCM. This, in turn, aids in the transmission and promotion of TCM culture while enabling the correct application of learned techniques for the health preservation and care of oneself, family, friends, and clients.
