This course is a professional basic course for the hotel management major. Through a four-in-one teaching mode of "listening, speaking, reading and writing", it enables students to master the basic theoretical knowledge of the hotel management major well, master the oral English of hotel services proficiently, strengthen students' oral expression ability, be able to communicate and interact with foreign guests fluently, and better serve foreign guests. The teaching of this course should follow the following principles and objectives: with the aim of enhancing the professional quality of tourism enterprise practitioners, focusing on cultivating their communication and service management skills, and aiming to shape professional talents with noble professional ethics and proficient English communication skills, a project-based teaching system should be constructed. This course is conducted through project-based teaching, providing targeted oral training for students.
