“Charming Jiangxi Waiting for You” is a bilingual course in liberal arts education (being taught in English with bilingual subtitles). There are eight units in the course, introducing the green development and characteristic cultures of the main cities in Jiangxi Province and demonstrating the harmony between man and nature.
Based on the ecological development in Jiangxi，the course combines the history and culture with the green development and integrates English learning with ideological and political education. This course takes learners to travel around the cities bred by “five rivers and one lake” water system and approach lucid waters and lush mountains as well as splendid history and culture, appreciating the beautiful scroll featuring harmony between human and nature.
Through learning this course，learners can achieve the dual output of language and culture. By gaining fluency in English expression of Jiangxi's culture and cultivating cultural confidence and patriotism, learners can enhance the comprehensive cultural literacy and the ability of transmitting traditional Chinese culture to the world. Learners can also improve their bilingual communication competence and the ability of critical thinking and enhance the awareness of priorizing ecological conservation and boosting green development.
