Syllabus

Week 1: Module 1. Listen Keenly: The Art of Active Listening-This opening module addresses the importance of building foundational interpersonal and comprehension skills through active listening.
Week 2: Module 2. Read Intently: Mastering Critical Reading Skills-The second module helps students practise analysis and awareness of texts and interpret them, applying their own ideas and values, focusing on critical reading.
Week 3: Module 3. Empower Meaningfully: Integrating Values in Learning-Education is for life and not just to earn a living. It has to develop a balanced human personality and include the development of character, values, attitudes, and behaviours. These can be integrated seamlessly into the English lessons as explored in this module.
Week 4: Module 4. Design Thoughtfully: Introducing Design Thinking in Learning-Building on a foundation of values, this module moves from empathy and reflection toward creative problem-solving. It introduces elements of design thinking to help educators forge new paths in the English classroom.
Week 5: Module 5. Inspire Consciously: Towards a Sustainable Future-Empowered sufficiently, the English language learners are now ready to engage with global and local sustainability issues through their lessons in this fifth module.
Week 6: Module 6. Enhance Digitally: Technology-Enabled Learning-As we look to the future, it is essential to equip learners with the tools to navigate a tech-driven landscape even as technology reshapes teaching and enhances student engagement. The final module prepares learners to meet the digital demands of tomorrow.
