of all, a good perÂforÂmance review is regÂuÂlar. It should take place as often as it needs to but at least once a quarÂter. WhenÂevÂer a manÂagÂer and employÂee need to check in with each othÂer, it should be able to hapÂpen quickÂly and easÂiÂly withÂout any bureauÂcraÂcy getÂting in the way. EmployÂees should feel like they can talk to their manÂagÂer about their future and address their conÂcerns at any point and vice verÂsa. This should ideÂalÂly be part of a conÂtinÂuÂous perÂforÂmance manÂageÂment approach that includes real-time feedÂback and near-term goals.
