CompTIA’s Security+ is a well-known, industry-standard certification that introduces the skills needed to succeed in an entry-level cybersecurity role. In this course, we’ll look at the second half of the fourth domain of knowledge for the Security+ exam: Security Operations. Throughout this course, you’ll learn about different methods and tools to effectively secure endpoints and other systems in an organization’s infrastructure. We’ll look at email security methods and tools, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, and dive into why web filtering is important and some ways it can be configured. From there, we’ll go into identity and access management processes, such as access control methods, multifactor authentication, and privileged access management. To wrap up this course, you’ll learn about incident response procedures and processes, starting with detection and analysis and going through to eradication and recovery, including digital forensics concepts and methods.
