The CompTIA Security+ is an industry-standard, well-recognized certification that covers the skills needed to succeed in a cybersecurity career. In this course, we'll cover the first half of the fourth domain: Security Operations. Starting with security hardening, we'll look at how to secure different types of devices including endpoints, servers, and embedded systems. Moving on from there, you'll learn about wireless security authentication and authorization models and how to properly plan out a wireless infrastructure. Since every network contains vulnerabilities, we'll go over how to properly identify those vulnerabilities as well as some options for responding and remediating them, and what's involved in monitoring and logging those systems to ensure incidents are identified and responded to quickly. To wrap it up, we'll look at various types of network security devices and strategies starting with firewalls and IPS systems, going into network access control and DNS filtering.
