Electrical Safety is a common area of OSHA violations due to the number of areas where workers encounter electrical devices. Electrical safety discusses injuries, avoidance techniques, and recognition of potentially unsafe electrical equipment and conditions. Students will understand how electrical injuries occur and how to prevent common electrical injuries. Students will understand the consequences of mishaps with electricity. Students will understand how to prevent shocks and electrocution. Students will be able to assess common work practices for unsafe use of electrical equipment.
