The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available for every chemical used in a shop or factory. It is an OSHA requirement to have SDS available for employees. This course covers how to read and understand the SDS to enhance employee safety around chemicals. Students will understand what an SDS is, and how to read it. Students will learn where to locate an SDS. Students will learn how to use SDS in preparation for handling materials, as well as emergency response actions needed in case of a spill.
