The GHS standard of Hazardous Material Communications is used in labeling. Specifically, the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and the new GHS standard are used to communicate visually the proximity and toxicity of hazardous materials. Students will understand what a Label/SDS is, and how to read it. Students will decode the diamond-shaped pictograms and understand what they mean. Students will review some common effects of exposure to these hazardous materials and keywords used in Labeling/SDS forms
