Eye injuries are often the result of not wearing proper eye protection. In almost every case, a doctor's attention will be necessary. This course covers the many different ways an eye can be injured and the dos and don'ts in preparing the injured person for medical attention. Students will understand how many ways an eye can be injured and the need for immediate medical attention. Preparing the injury for movement as well as the dos and don'ts of treatments in the case of different eye injuries will be covered. Students will be aware of instances in which flushing the eye with water is appropriate.
