Cuts and wounds are common in the workplace. Minor cuts are treated on the shop floor with First Aid kits, while more serious cuts and wounds will require medical assistance. This course deals with treating minor cuts and helps to determine conditions that require medical assistance. Students will understand what the various types of cuts and wounds are and how to perform treatment of minor cuts or wounds. Students will review the cleaning and treatment of the wound and the use of gloves for personal protection & to prevent contamination of the wound.
