  • What Are the Responsibilities of a Moderator?
    • This module explores the role of the moderator in planning and facilitating successful focus groups. You will examine the skills and responsibilities involved in guiding discussions, develop techniques for active listening and confident leadership, and learn how effective preparation and collaboration can help create productive, insightful focus group conversations.
  • How Should I Lead a Focus Group?
    • This module explores the interpersonal and practical skills needed to facilitate effective focus group discussions. You will learn how to build trust with participants, manage diverse group dynamics, respond appropriately to cultural differences, and guide conversations from opening discussions through to a meaningful and productive conclusion.
  • How Can I Evaluate a Focus Group?
    • This module focuses on evaluating focus group activities and determining whether the data collected are sufficient to answer your research questions. You will learn how to review focus group processes and materials, assess how well the data align with your research design, verify that key information has been captured, and identify when research plans may need to be adapted in response to unexpected findings.
