You will learn how to collect, store, and use social media data responsibly, understand the unique ethical challenges associated with online research, and apply established guidelines to ensure your research is conducted in an ethical and respectful manner.
  • What Social Media Data Do I Need? 
    • This module focuses on planning social media data collection to ensure it aligns with your research question and objectives. You will learn how to identify the types of social media data most relevant to your study, determine the appropriate scope of data collection, and make informed decisions about gathering data that will support meaningful and reliable research findings.
  • How Do I Build an Effective Sampling Strategy?

  • How Do I Extract Data From Social Media Platforms?

You will learn how to evaluate and apply a range of data extraction techniques, compare their strengths and limitations, and choose the most appropriate method for acquiring the social media data needed for your study.
  • How Do I Develop My Social Media Research Plan?
