Introduction

In this module, we will introduce you to the course and its goals. We will walk you through the course structure to help you plan your learning journey efficiently. Additionally, you will learn how to access and start using the Microsoft Intune Free Trial to get hands-on experience.

The Apple MDM Framework

In this module, we will introduce the fundamentals of Mobile Device Management and dive deep into Apple’s specific MDM framework. You will learn about the innovative Declarative Device Management approach, explore various Apple device ownership models, and understand the different enrollment methods available for Apple devices.

Apple Business Manager

In this module, we will explore Apple Business Manager in detail, covering everything from setting up Managed Apple IDs to building your organizational hierarchy. You will learn how to integrate Apple Business Manager with Microsoft Entra ID for seamless identity management, add devices through various methods, and configure apps, books, and resources to support your organization’s needs.

Introduction to Microsoft Intune

In this module, we will guide you through the essentials of Microsoft Intune, from planning your deployment to understanding licensing requirements. You will gain hands-on knowledge of managing users, groups, and mobile applications, as well as mastering multiple device enrollment techniques to ensure a smooth and scalable device management experience.

Content Management Using Microsoft Intune

In this module, we will dive into managing and distributing content through Microsoft Intune. You will learn how to configure and deploy a variety of applications and resources, set up self-service portals, and apply app policies to optimize user experience. Additionally, we will cover troubleshooting techniques to handle common app-related challenges.

Managing Mac Software Applications (Revisited)

This module revisits managing macOS applications using Deploy Pro, integrating it with Microsoft Intune, and handling deployment reporting. Learn the strategies for deploying software effectively on Mac devices.

Device Management Using Microsoft Intune

In this module, we will introduce you to device management using Microsoft Intune, focusing on configuration profiles and policies. You will learn how to create, customize, and deploy profiles, apply scope tags, and use policy filters to ensure targeted management. The module also covers advanced topics like payload priority and importing custom profiles to tailor device settings to your organization’s needs.

Optimizing Enterprise Networks for Apple Devices

In this module, we will focus on optimizing your enterprise network to fully support Apple devices. You will learn how to enable Apple device network features, configure secure enterprise Wi-Fi and 802.1X authentication, and implement content caching solutions to enhance network efficiency and user experience.

Apple Platform Security

In this module, we will explore Apple’s platform security features and how to build robust security strategies. You will learn to implement advanced protections like FileVault encryption and system integrity tools, manage certificates and software updates, and integrate Apple devices seamlessly with enterprise identity and access systems, including Microsoft Zero Trust and SSO frameworks.

Class Project: Configuring MAM

In this module, we will guide you through a hands-on project focused on configuring Mobile Application Management. You will learn to set up pilot groups, create app protection policies, and test these configurations to ensure they effectively secure applications on unenrolled devices.

Class Project: User Enrollment for BYOD

In this module, we will take you through a comprehensive project focused on user enrollment for BYOD environments. You will learn to configure enrollment workflows, integrate identity services, apply security policies, and manage apps and network profiles, followed by practical testing to ensure smooth deployment and management.

Class Project: Automated Device Enrollment for iOS/iPadOS

In this module, we will guide you through a practical project on automating device enrollment for iOS and iPadOS devices. You will learn to configure MDM assignments, manage apps and security policies, set up network and device restrictions, and implement enterprise SSO, culminating in a testing phase to ensure successful deployment.

Class Project: Deploying Shared iPad

In this module, we will focus on deploying and managing Shared iPads in enterprise settings. You will learn to set up pilot groups, configure automated enrollment, assign necessary apps, apply device restrictions, and enable enterprise SSO, followed by testing to validate the shared device setup.

Class Project: Device Enrollment for Mac

In this module, we will guide you through enrolling Macs in an enterprise environment, focusing on different enrollment approaches using the Company Portal and direct device enrollment. You will set up pilot groups, configure profiles, and perform thorough testing to confirm successful device integration and management.

Class Project: Zero Touch Mac Deployment

In this module, we will take you through an extensive project focused on zero-touch deployment of Macs for remote users. You will learn to automate device enrollment, use scripting for customization and app deployment, configure security and system settings, and validate your deployment with thorough testing to deliver a seamless user experience.

Apple Device Analytics and Compliance

In this module, we will explore how to leverage Intune analytics and reporting tools to maintain device security and compliance. You will learn to deploy endpoint protection, manage software updates, create compliance and conditional access policies, and use custom scripts to ensure your Apple devices meet organizational standards.

Managing Lost Devices with Intune

In this module, we will cover essential techniques for managing lost or stolen devices with Intune. You will learn how to enable Lost Mode, track devices via location services, securely erase device data remotely, and apply selective wipe policies to safeguard sensitive information while maintaining user privacy.

Device Redeployment and Decommissioning

In this module, we will explore best practices for redeploying and decommissioning enterprise devices. You will learn how to reset and re-enroll devices efficiently, retire devices in Intune, and release them from Apple Business Manager, ensuring smooth transitions and secure device lifecycle management.

AppleSeed for IT

In this module, we will introduce AppleSeed for IT and its role in beta software management within enterprise environments. You will learn how to enable AppleSeed for Managed Apple IDs, plan and execute beta testing, and use the Feedback Assistant to communicate feedback to Apple.
