Syllabus

  • Professional Drafting: Generating and Refining Business Documents
    • This module moves from prompting fundamentals into applied professional writing. Learners will practice generating first drafts of real business documents in Word and Outlook, applying the iterative prompting loop to refine outputs until they reflect the professional's voice and intent, not just a generic AI response.
  • Professional Drafting: Auditing Copilot-Generated Content
    • A polished Copilot draft is not a finished deliverable—it is a candidate for professional scrutiny. This module builds a rigorous audit practice that catches hallucinations, factual errors, and brand misalignment before a document leaves the professional's hands, turning responsible AI use from a principle into a daily workflow habit.
  • Meeting Lifecycle: Planning, Capture, and Follow-Up
    • This module covers the complete meeting lifecycle—from pre-meeting preparation through post-meeting follow-up—using Copilot to automate the documentation that typically consumes hours of professional time. Learners will practice generating agendas, extracting structured insights from transcripts, and producing follow-up communications that accurately reflect what was actually decided.
  • Turn Meeting Outcomes into Clear Visuals Using DALL-E for Stakeholders
    • A meeting summary tells stakeholders what was decided. A visual narrative helps them understand what it means. This module introduces Microsoft Designer's DALL-E 3 integration as a professional tool for creating supporting imagery that clarifies abstract strategic decisions, makes complex information memorable, and elevates stakeholder communications from documentation to storytelling.
  • The Executive Briefing: High-Stakes Synthesis
    • Summarizing what happened is the easy part. Telling leadership what it means—and being ready to defend that interpretation under questioning—is the professional skill that separates contributors from advisors. This module moves beyond meeting summaries and visual narratives into executive briefing territory: how to use Copilot to shift from reporting to advising, how to pressure-test your synthesis before it reaches the room, and how to prepare for the questions a skeptical senior leader will ask.
  • Pull Task Updates and Build a Weekly Report with Copilot
    • Shared planning can become challenging when teams are working from different versions of a project. This module teaches learners how to use Copilot integrations across Planner, Teams, and Outlook to support coordination, track milestones, surface status updates, and keep teams aligned without relying on manual updates from each stakeholder.
  • Bring Team Conversations, Notes, and Ideas into One Shared Space
    • Not all collaboration happens in meetings or status reports. This module introduces Copilot Chat, Loop Pages, and OneNote Notebooks as tools for building persistent, shared AI-assisted workspaces, where team members can co-develop content, capture institutional knowledge, and iterate together on complex deliverables in real time.
  • Managing Team Knowledge and AI Governance
    • Building a shared workspace is the easy part. Keeping it reliable over time is where most teams struggle. This module teaches learners to act as knowledge curators, using Copilot to audit shared workspaces, identify what is missing or outdated, manage the information lifecycle from active collaboration to long-term institutional knowledge, and produce the kind of structured handover documentation that keeps a project running when team members change.
  • Project Module: AI-Enhanced Communication System
    • You step into the role of a Communications Lead at Vantara Solutions, a mid-size professional services firm that recently brought on The Meridian Group as a new client, one of the most important accounts the firm has landed this year. The engagement is only a few weeks old, and the account team has been producing strong work. But some early communication patterns are starting to create friction before the relationship has had a chance to build real trust. Meeting summaries are not always circulated consistently. Status updates from different team members are not always fully aligned. Stakeholder proposals have been flagged as harder to navigate than the client would like. The client has raised these concerns in recent check-ins. The relationship is still new enough that these gaps carry more weight than they would in a mature engagement. First impressions set the tone for everything that follows. Your manager has taken the feedback seriously and wants to get ahead of it before it affects the account. Your job is to design a stronger communication system before the next client review. You will produce an AI-Enhanced Communication Blueprint that maps Microsoft Copilot tools and workflows to three specific communication gaps, and a Sample Stakeholder Package that demonstrates what the new standard looks like in practice.
