Syllabus

  • Welcome to the Course: Coaching and Training Women
    • In this course, Coaching and Training Women, you’ll explore evidence-based strategies for training and coaching women across different life stages. From understanding physiological differences to designing inclusive fitness programs, you’ll gain practical tools to support women in achieving their health and wellness goals.
  • Coaching for Confidence: Training strong women across all life stages
    • Working with women offers the health and exercise professional an incredible and powerful opportunity to support these clients in building strength and confidence, but unfortunately strategies for effectively coaching and training this specific group are not widely discussed.
  • PMS and Exercise: Managing Training and Recovery to Boost Quality of Life
    • Many females experience premenstrual symptoms (PMS) and menstruation/period pain symptoms. Assisting in managing these symptoms with practical recovery and training methods may improve their quality of life and well-being during their menstrual cycle.
  • Better Biomechanics: Effective Training for the Female Body
    • Focusing first on the upper body, this session will examine biomechanics and kinesiology before reviewing several effective movements designed to enhance muscle balance and posture. For the lower body, this session will investigate common alignment deviations and function, and provide appropriate progressions to enhance muscle strength, endurance and function.
  • Weight Gain and Menopause: What’s Estrogen Got To Do With It?
    • Female clients transitioning through menopause may experience a decline in sex hormones, specifically estrogen. Therefore, understanding the effect of this important hormone during menopause may assist you in supporting your clients during this phase of life.
  • Debunking Myths in Women’s Fitness
    • The health and wellness industry has seen a surge in women engaging in fitness activities, with statistics showing that women now account for around 50% of fitness center members. But while woman have more access to a variety of movement practices and are more active now than in years past, some age-old misconceptions are still being presented as fact with no basis in reality. As a health and fitness professional, it’s critical to understand the misinformation and myths still prevalent in the industry today.
  • Coaching and Training Women
    • In this concluding module, you’ll hear directly from the panel of industry experts as they respond to participant questions from the summit. The session brings together key insights from across the course, offering clarification, practical advice, and real-world perspectives on supporting clients’ mental well-being. This is your opportunity to learn how professionals in the field approach common challenges and apply holistic strategies in practice.
