Build custom Unity editor tools that make level development and Inspector workflows more efficient. You’ll begin with Unity editor scripting fundamentals by creating simple scripts, editor functions, GameObjects, and test levels. You’ll then use Gizmos, rays, targets, drawing tools, object-placement controls, and grid snapping to improve Scene view visualization and support structured level creation. As you progress, you’ll design custom inspectors that improve how component properties are presented and managed. You’ll implement property and decorator drawers, create specialized time drawers and level inspectors, and develop reusable palette windows. You’ll also build menu items, GUI foundations, and tab-based layouts for scalable editor tool development. This course is designed for beginners who want to customize the Unity editor and build practical tools for their projects. Its project-based approach connects each editor scripting concept to a real Unity development scenario. By the end, you’ll be able to extend the Scene view, create more usable Inspector interfaces, and develop reusable tools that streamline Unity workflows. Enroll to turn Unity’s standard editor environment into a more focused workspace for creative and production needs.
