    • Welcome to Week 1 of the AWS: Compute and Storage course. This week, we'll delve into Amazon EC2, covering its fundamentals, instance types, purchasing options, and storage solutions, including volumes and encryption. We'll also explore AWS Elastic Beanstalk for application deployment and AWS Lambda for serverless computing, accompanied by practical demos. Additionally, we'll introduce the AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM), guiding you through installing the CLI, creating, packaging, and deploying Lambda functions, and integrating API Gateway and databases. By week's end, you'll have a solid foundation in these core AWS services, preparing you for more advanced topics ahead.
  • Storage in AWS
    • Welcome to Week 2. This week, we'll explore Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), covering its features, versioning, access control mechanisms (ACLs and bucket policies), and object lifecycle management. We'll delve into various S3 storage classes, including Glacier, and understand their use cases. Additionally, we'll discuss encryption methods to secure your data in S3. Next, we will explore Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), and Amazon Elastic File System (EFS), guiding you through the process of mounting an EFS file system onto an EC2 instance.
