In this course, you apply English to topics related to recreation, hobbies, famous people, talents, and achievements. You expand vocabulary for recreational activities and practice using go, play, and do with different activities. You also learn to express likes and dislikes as you discuss activities and hobbies. In the module on famous people, you explore the idea of a claim to fame, articulate personal achievements and talents, and build vocabulary related to achievement. You practice structures for saying what someone is good at doing, and you use comparative and superlative forms to describe people. Course activities include conversations, readings, reading comprehension checks, Language Bite lessons, practice activities, graded quizzes, Conversation Cafe preparation, and listening activities. By completing these activities, you practice expressing preferences, describing abilities, and comparing people in English.

    • This module focuses on recreation and hobbies, expanding vocabulary, learning to use verbs like 'go', 'play', and 'do' for activities, and practicing how to express likes and dislikes in English.

    • This module explores the concept of 'claim to fame', helping you articulate personal achievements and talents, expanding relevant vocabulary, and practicing comparative and superlative structures.
