This course guides you through the distinctive terroirs and wines of the Monterey region, including the fascinating Thermal Rainbow phenomenon, the dramatic Blue Grand Canyon formation, the Santa Lucia Highlands, and other distinctive American Viticultural Areas (AVAs). As you progress through the course, you will climb geographically from Monterey's coastal influences to explore the San Benito wine region, learning how geography shapes the wines produced in these unique areas.
