Venture into the renowned wine regions of Veneto, one of Italy's most prolific and celebrated wine-producing areas, and discover the grapes, denominations, styles, and culinary traditions behind some of the country's most beloved wines.
This session covers the major wine denominations of Northern Italy's Veneto, including the famous appellations of Bardolino, Valpolicella, Soave, and the various Prosecco PDOs, among others. You will learn where these wines are produced, which grape varieties define them, what gives each its distinctive character, and how they connect to the food culture of the region. A portion of the class is devoted to reviewing northern Italian regions from prior sessions.
