This course represents the first component of a comprehensive five-course series specifically designed for German language learners at the beginner level.
This class is conducted exclusively with adult learners in a supportive community setting.

Course Overview:
German Beginner 1 is an excellent starting point for those with no prior German language experience or those who wish to restart their studies from the foundational level. By the end of this course, you will have developed skills across multiple communication and language domains.
Communication Skills You Will Develop:
Greet and exchange farewells with others, introduce yourself and others, communicate personal information, use polite forms of address, spell words aloud, count numbers from one to one hundred, discuss daily conditions and weather, formally introduce people to others, describe your occupation and discuss work activities, read and understand schedules, describe your daily routine and habits, identify and resolve common problems, speak about your family relationships, state your nationality and language proficiency, tell time accurately, plan weekend activities, express your desires and preferences, arrange meetings and social encounters.
Vocabulary and Grammar Coverage:
Names of people and persons, countries and continents, numbers from one through one hundred, the German alphabet and pronunciation of sounds, sounds and letters with definite articles, present tense verb forms, W-question words and statement construction, days of the week, professional occupations, workplace locations, daily activities and routines, times of day, the verb "to have" and its conjugation, yes and no question formation, present tense verb conjugations for regular and common irregular verbs.
