This is the first segment of a comprehensive five-course beginner series designed specifically for French language learners starting from the beginning. An all-adults class, this course builds fundamental language skills and cultural understanding from the ground up.
Course Overview: If you have never studied French or wish to restart from the beginning, this course provides the foundational knowledge needed for confident basic communication.
Communication Skills You Will Develop: Ask and introduce yourself by name, recognize written words, distinguish singular from plural, introduce yourself with your age, describe your family, and your profession
Grammar Foundation: Personal pronouns, the verb s'appeler in the present tense, the pronoun moi, definite and indefinite articles, gender and number conventions, present tense forms of être and avoir
Essential Vocabulary: Greetings, family members, and professional titles

Materials: This course uses the textbook "Totem A1: Student book and workbook." Note that materials are not included in tuition costs.
Holiday Schedule: Classes falling on holidays will be extended one week to ensure you receive complete instruction.
