Willkommen to Total Beginner German! Our comprehensive introductory group German classes are specifically designed for students with little to no German language background. Our engaging, professional, and experienced instructors will guide you carefully through every step of your learning journey, providing consistent support and encouragement as you build confidence, competence, and genuine language proficiency.
What to expect in this course: Over the course of the complete program, you will learn fundamental German conversation skills that enable real communication, build a rich and usable vocabulary of essential words and phrases, and master basic grammar structures that form the foundation of the language. Our distinctive teaching approach skillfully blends formal grammar instruction focused on language structure with interactive, communicative exercises and activities that simulate authentic, real-world situations and actively encourage meaningful dialogue and conversation among all classmates. The primary focus throughout all group classes remains genuine conversation and speaking proficiency, ensuring you develop practical, functional speaking abilities alongside grammatical knowledge and written competency.
Class format and logistics: Our group German classes meet online each week for 1.5 hours in a supportive, interactive, and welcoming learning environment. The flexible scheduling allows you to balance learning with your other commitments. Upon successful completion of level 1, you'll have the excellent option to sign up for additional classes to continue your studies in our comprehensive program until you have fully achieved your personal learning goals and desired proficiency level.
