AWS Cloud Foundations and Core Compute Services introduces learners to the fundamental concepts of cloud computing and the AWS Cloud, with a focused exploration of core compute services. The course covers AWS global infrastructure, essential cloud concepts, and the role of compute services in building and running applications in the AWS Cloud. Learners will explore Amazon EC2 and understand how to select, launch, configure, and manage cloud-based compute resources. The course also introduces key AWS compute options and helps learners understand how different compute services can support varying application and workload requirements. AWS describes EC2 as scalable, on-demand computing capacity that can be configured to meet different compute, memory, networking, and storage needs. Through demonstrations and practical examples, learners will develop a foundational understanding of AWS compute capabilities and gain the knowledge needed to begin working with AWS cloud infrastructure and prepare for further AWS learning and certification pathways. AWS positions its foundational training as suitable for learners seeking an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud and its core service categories.

AWS Database Services and High Availability is designed to help learners build a strong understanding of managed database services available on AWS and the architectural considerations involved in building highly available, scalable, and resilient database solutions. The course introduces Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora, Aurora Global Database, and Amazon ElastiCache, covering relational, NoSQL, cloud-native, global database, and in-memory caching capabilities. The course is divided into three modules, with each module further segmented into lessons and video lectures. Learners will explore both conceptual and practical aspects of AWS database services, including RDS Multi-AZ deployments, Read Replicas, RDS Proxy, DynamoDB tables and indexes, DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX), Aurora Serverless, Aurora Global Database, and ElastiCache for caching and session storage. Course Modules Module 1: Amazon RDS and Database Availability Module 2: Amazon DynamoDB and Aurora Module 3: Aurora Global and ElastiCache By the end of this course, a learner will be able to: Understand Amazon RDS and apply high-availability concepts using Multi-AZ deployments, Read Replicas, and RDS Proxy. Explain DynamoDB capabilities, including tables, indexes, and DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX). Understand Amazon Aurora and Aurora Serverless for cloud-native relational database workloads. Describe Aurora Global Database and its role in supporting globally distributed database architectures. Understand ElastiCache capabilities for caching, security, and session-store use cases. This course is intended for learners who want to build practical knowledge of AWS database services and develop the skills required to select and understand managed database solutions for highly available and scalable cloud workloads. Basic familiarity with AWS Cloud and database concepts is recommended.rily aimed at first- and second-year undergraduates interested in engineering or science, along with high school students and professionals with an interest in programming.

Build practical skills for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective storage solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this course, you will explore core AWS storage services and learn how to select the right storage solution based on performance, availability, durability, scalability, and cost requirements. You will work with key services such as Amazon S3, Amazon EBS, Amazon EFS, Amazon FSx, AWS Storage Gateway, AWS DataSync, AWS Backup, and AWS Transfer Family. The course also covers storage security, data protection, lifecycle management, replication, monitoring, and optimization strategies. Through practical examples and real-world scenarios, you will learn how to design storage architectures for different application and workload requirements. By completing the course, you will be better prepared to evaluate AWS storage options, implement appropriate solutions, and optimize storage environments for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
