It is really one of the best course. I am a continuous learner from swayam nptel. I have done courses orgsnised by mooc of IIT KGP, IIT KANPUR, IIT MADRAS, IIMB, IISC BANGALORE, IIT ROORKIE etc. I found this one is the best among them in terms of syllabus, delivery, course outcomes and quality.

I really liked the course.the course is very well organised and upto the mark. Along with videos on mathematical economics, I also liked the last video on how to communicate in mooc discussion forum.The coordinator and her team must have put lot of efforts and made proper planning before starting this course. I am a assistant professor in economics always wanted to learn econometrics n mathematical economics, but could not get time , the foreign course on same were difficult to understand due to their language pronouciation, but this Indian course is very very good and easy to understand.looking forward to you for a series of such courses taking us from basic to advanced learning of the subject. Course contents are systematically arranged from simple to complex. It covered from the very beginning of number system, function, variable to difference equation, linear programming etc. Thanks for your all efforts to make the course attractive by making videos, quizzes and E-texts. Videos are beautiful made. The most special thing I found in the course is that it nicely explained the history of development of each contents. E-text materials are well written and up to the mark. Graded assignments are well arranged. Ungraded assignments invited learners participation in discussing the contents through Whatsapp groups. External online examination paper was not easy and tough at all, specially arranged looking into the nature of multidisciplinary learners. Thanks once again to the team behind the course. Hope they will put more effort to develop new course in future days to come.

Why I have taken this course?

I am Pursuing MA in economics from IGNOU. As I had a keen interest in learning Mathematical economics, my couriosity made me to take up this wonderful course in Swayam

How is my learning?

I completed 10 weeks of course and every week I involue in

- Learning through videos with goals set

- Making notes from e-Text material

- Attending Quizes

- Discussing/Anwering in Discussion forum and Whatsapp group

- Summarising by the end of week and eagerly waiting for next set

How is teaching?

Sikha Ahmad and Ishteyaaq Ahmad are teachers of this course. They along with their team make short, sweet, interseting, lovely videos of the topic with relevant examples and provide e-text. They wonderfully make this course to be a self learning.

My Subjective Opinion

I liked teachers and their team effort in making this course a full fledged well planned interesting Online learning program

I liked the initiatives taken by teachers in making Quizes, Assignments, Tasks and Challenges, giving guidlines etc.

I liked their efforts in promoting 21st century skill set - Enjoy life and Keep learning.

This program has actually enlightened me to understand more about Mathematics. It gives meaning to every Maths expressions or equations. I'm a Maths student but have come to appreciate Maths more because of economics. I have now understood that every Maths question is a real life challenge in disguised form. I love to pursue Mathematical Economics to the highest level.

How I wish I could get a scholarship assistance to pursue this program either in or outside my country.

This course is easily understandable even for one who hails from humanities background like me. Maths was once a monster for me.. after I joined this course, I can now feel a better version of myself in dealing with mathematical economics. Course content needs some improvement. Some ungraded assignment questions are not discussed in the material provided. References need to be provided in every etext. Use of familiar concepts, terms and definitions would be more helpful. Eg in case of demand and supply curves the convention is to measure price on y axis and quantity on X axis. The reverse presentation may be confusing for undergraduate students.

The course is the best for mathematical economics.. one cannot teach mathematical economics beyond this course. As a teacher I understand the kind of knowledge and hardwor k that's put in this course. You'll not only learn ME but you will grasp how one should teach online. Kudos to the entire team.

The course is really something to look upto,for its simplicity and design.Something which is not too hard hitting and heavy,easy to comprehend and engaging at the same time.

Never thought that graduates too could learn in a fun way!It comes in small doses,to be absorbed and assimilated,one concept at a time.True wisdom is making something complex,as easy as possible,and the creators of the course have succeeded in doing so.While Maths and Economics are generally assumed(at least i do so)to be all complex stuff ,the course makes you believe you are going through a text book meant for a child,with pictures and games and lots of colors ,contrary to the black and white endless pages of equations and complex notations.

I have taken other courses on the swayam platform last semester and currently am also taking other courses apart from ME. As a matter of sincerity, the presentation, the course content and the practicality of the course make it one of the best courses I have taken on swayam.

Although, before the course started I anticipated a more mathematically rigorous course, because I have a background in mathematics with economics, that has not been the case.

I really appreciate Sikha's authority over the subject matter and her presentation skills.

It's a good course, and I will recommend for anyone who wants to have insight into mathematical economics.

I am very happy to write a review about my first SWAYAM MOOCs course. It was my first experience with online learning and certification. Previously, I was aware of mathematical methods, but through this course, I came to understand the purpose of studying these methods and techniques in the context of economics. I chose this as an audit course in the first semester of my MA in Economics, and I successfully passed and received certification. Overall, I am very happy with this course.
