This course examines SN2 substitution reactions through nucleophilicity, solvent effects, leaving-group activation, and bridgehead substitution. It also applies the mechanism to designing a radioactive fluorine sugar analogue for PET imaging and uses theory to assess pentavalent carbon as a reaction intermediate.
