Please read before enrolling. Microsoft has decided not to release the SC-730 certification to general availability, so the exam is no longer available to sit. This course has been refocused on the cybersecurity skills every business professional needs day to day, and it maps closely to the live Microsoft SC-900 certification if you want a credential to work toward. The knowledge here is exactly as useful as it was. It is simply no longer tied to a single exam.
Do you know how to recognize a phishing email designed specifically for you? Would you know if someone was impersonating your CEO on a video call using AI? Could you tell the difference between a real IT request and an attacker trying to steal your credentials?
If any of those questions made you pause, this course is for you.
My name is Vladimir, and I will be your instructor. I am a Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, an AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, and a Project Management Professional. I also spent 10 years working as a Product Manager at an IT company, which means I know exactly what business professionals face every day: the pressure, the workflows, the moments when an attacker can slip right through.
I created this course because cybersecurity is no longer just an IT problem. It is your problem too. Microsoft built the SC-730 Cybersecurity Business Professional framework to recognize exactly that, that every project manager, marketer, salesperson, and administrator has a role to play in keeping their organization safe. Microsoft has since decided not to release that exam, but the need it identified has not gone anywhere, and neither has the value of knowing this material cold.
Full transparency: I sat the SC-730 beta exam myself before Microsoft chose to retire it. That beta experience shaped this course directly, which means the material reflects how these topics are really framed for business professionals, not guesswork.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Recognize the attacks that target business professionals specifically: phishing emails, spear phishing aimed at your exact role, deepfake video calls impersonating your executives, and social engineering tactics designed to bypass careful, experienced people
Protect your accounts, devices, and data using the practices that real organizations actually expect from you
Respond correctly when something goes wrong: what to do, what not to do, and who to tell
Spot the warning signs that something is already wrong, on your device, in your accounts, and in the behavior of the people around you, before the damage is done
Understand exactly what happens during a security incident and what your role is in the first critical minutes, because hesitation in those moments is what turns a small problem into a crisis
What Makes This Course Different?
You will not be reading slides. You will see real examples. What a suspicious email actually looks like and exactly where the red flags are. How an evil twin Wi-Fi network works and why it is so easy to fall for. What a ransomware screen looks like the morning it hits an organization. Interactive, visual, and scenario-based, because that is exactly how these situations show up in your working day.
Here is what is included:
Around 3 hours of focused video content covering four core cybersecurity domains for business professionals
Interactive presentations with real-world examples throughout. Not theory, not bullet points, but situations you will actually recognize from your working day
Section quizzes to move you from passive watching to active recall
One full 60-question knowledge check at the end so you can test your recall across every topic
A downloadable study guide of over 45 pages covering the key concepts from every lecture
Regular updates: I monitor Microsoft's business security certifications closely, and if Microsoft introduces a replacement credential for business professionals, I will update this course to align with it
This is not a technical course. You will not be configuring firewalls or writing code. This course is for business professionals who want to understand cybersecurity and protect their organization. If you want a Microsoft credential to pair with these skills, this is strong preparation for the live SC-900 certification.
If you are ready to become the person on your team who knows what to do when it matters, I will see you inside.
