This course introduces four essential topics in cybersecurity tailored for Accounting and financial professionals You will learn cybersecurity concepts and terminologies, related regulations and frameworks, best practices to promote awareness of safeguarding corporate information assets. Accounting and financial professionals' roles and responsibilities in risk environment management and incident response are highlighted in this course. By the end of this course, you will be able to: ● Articulate cybersecurity terminology to collaborate and communicate with others in your organization ● Identify roles and responsibilities related to accounting and finance professionals ● Implement a security mindset in your day-to-day responsibilities ● Discuss potential risks and opportunities for your organization or client’s cybersecurity management ● Understand the key regulations and frameworks related to cybersecurity

Syllabus

  • Cybersecurity Concept
    • By the end of Module 1, learners will be able to communicate with cybersecurity concepts and terminology. They will be able to develop awareness of the cybersecurity framework for best practices and a plan of action. Additionally, they will understand why it is important for accounting and finance professionals to learn about cybersecurity.
  • Cybersecurity Risk Assessment
    • By the end of Module 2, learners will be able to identify roles and functions for Cybersecurity governance and Cybersecurity management. They will also understand the roles and responsibilities of accounting and finance professionals in cybersecurity risk assessment and risk management.
  • Cybersecurity Incident Response
    • By the end of Module 3, learners will be able to recognize the process of cybersecurity response planning and identify the steps of post-breach remediation and analysis. They will understand financial accountants’ roles and responsibilities in estimating market response and consumer response. Additionally, they will understand financial accountants’ roles and responsibilities in analyzing cybersecurity insurance premiums cost and benefit.
  • Cybersecurity Assurance and Disclosure
    • By the end of Module 4, learners will recognize the roles and responsibilities of accounting and finance professionals professionals in cybersecurity risk disclosure and assurance. The will also recognize the roles and responsibilities of management in cybersecurity regulation compliance and risk disclosure. Additionally, they will understand the key regulations and frameworks related to cybersecurity assurance and disclosure.
