ABOUT THE COURSE:Environmental Humanities is an interdisciplinary field that examines the relationship between human culture and the natural environment through literature, philosophy, history, and other humanities perspectives. This course introduces students to major debates surrounding climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, and the role of nonhuman agencies in shaping ecological futures. Through literary texts, essays, and films, learners will explore how environmental crises are represented and interpreted in cultural discourse. The course encourages critical reflection on ecological ethics and aims to cultivate environmental awareness and responsibility in addressing contemporary global challenges.
