This course introduces learners to the foundational concepts and practical configuration of Groups and Relationships within SAP Customer Data Platform (SAP CDP), with a focus on Business-to-Business (B2B) use cases. Learners will explore how SAP CDP moves beyond individual customer profiles to accommodate the intricate hierarchical structures common in B2B environments, such as regions, organizations, departments, and family accounts. Through a combination of conceptual instruction and demos, the course covers how to use the Customer Schema configuration console to define group schemas with predefined and custom attributes, establish relationships between groups and customer profiles, and apply matching and merge rules to ensure data quality and consistency.

Building on this foundation, the course then demonstrates how to apply Groups and Relationships to real-world B2B scenarios by walking learners through the full data lifecycle — from schema design and identity resolution to data ingestion to enable further insights extraction. The course also details the multi-step SAP CDP ingestion process, explaining how raw event data is validated, matched, merged, and ultimately transformed into unified customer profiles that can drive personalized CX Journeys, Milestones, and CX Flows across multiple destination applications.
