Successfully managing a project requires effective planning and adherence to the industry's best practices in every step of the process. By mastering the fundamentals of project management, you will be better prepared to initiate a project in your organization and position it for success. In this Specialization, you will identify effective project management practices and their related processes.
This Specialization is designed for individuals in a variety of job roles whose primary responsibility is not project management, but who manage projects on an informal basis; who contribute as members of a project team; or who wish to incorporate project management practices into their personal work. It is also beneficial for anyone who is considering a career path in project management and desiring a complete overview of the field and its generally accepted practices.
This Specialization is designed to cover various project management approaches and is not intended to focus on a single methodology or framework.

In this course, you'll continue developing your project management skills by creating epics and user stories, building a product backlog, creating an initial release plan, conducting a spring planning meeting, and replanning the project. You'll also analyze risks to the project, create a communication plan, and develop a change control plan. This is the third course in a multi-course Specialization. All of the courses in this Specialization require that you have a recent version of Microsoft Word and Excel installed in order to open the course data files. To round out your data-analysis skills in project management, you'll manage a project by beginning work, executing the plan, tracking progress, reporting performance, and implementing change control. You'll also close various projects and project elements like sprints, releases, adaptive projects, and predictive projects. Lastly, you'll create a final report. This is the fourth and final course in a multi-course Specialization. All of the courses in this Specialization require that you have a recent version of Microsoft Word and Excel installed in order to open the course data files. This course will be useful for anyone whose primary primary responsibility is not project management, but who manages projects on an informal basis; who contributes as members of a project team; or who wishes to incorporate project management practices into their personal work. You will begin by identifying key processes and requirements of project management. You'll then create a project scope/vision statement and identify essentials skills and risks for a project. This is the first course in a multi-course Specialization.
