Manage Identities and Governance in Azure Course is the first course of the Exam Prep AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate Specialization. This course is designed to describe the basics of Azure Administrator related to using multiple Azure services. This course includes an overview of a basic Introduction to Azure services, Azure AD, Access Control Management, RBAC, Azure Subscriptions, and Governance. This course is basically divided into four modules and Lessons and Video Lectures further segment each module. This course facilitates learners with approximately 6:00-7:00 Hours of Video lectures that provide both theory and hands-on knowledge. Also, Graded and Ungraded Quizzes are provided with every module in order to test the ability of learners. To be successful in this course, you should have experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, the Azure portal, Azure Resource Manager templates (ARM templates), and Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), part of Microsoft Entra. This course is mainly for System Administrators, System Engineers, Cloud Administrators, Cloud Engineers and Cloud Analysts.

  • Azure Cloud & Microsoft Entra: Identity, Access & Console Essentials
    • In Week 1 of the Manage Identities and Governance in Azure course, we introduced the Azure Administrator certification, emphasizing its key objectives and the skills required for effectively managing Azure environments. We also explored the Microsoft Entra Family, a robust suite of tools designed for secure access and seamless identity management across multi-cloud environments. Lastly, we delved into the core features of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), focusing on its role in identity and access management with capabilities like Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This week set the stage for a deeper understanding of Azure identity and governance concepts.
  • Microsoft Entra Overview
    • Welcome to Week 2. In Week 2 of the Manage Identities and Governance in Azure course, we focused on essential identity and governance practices. We started by understanding the concepts of Microsoft Entra Users and Groups, exploring how to manage identities and organize groups effectively. We then delved into implementing External Users and configuring Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) for seamless user experiences. Additionally, we explored the roles and functionality of Microsoft Entra Roles and Devices, emphasizing role-based access and device management. Lastly, we learned to configure Azure Role Assignment Options, enabling precise permission allocation for secure and efficient access management
  • Governance Management
    • Welcome to Week 3. In Week 3 of the Manage Identities and Governance in Azure course, we expanded our understanding of resource organization and governance in Azure. We began by exploring the concepts of Azure Subscriptions and Resource Groups, learning how they structure resources for better management and billing. We then demonstrated the importance of Governance Management to ensure compliance and maintain control in Azure environments. Lastly, we implemented Azure Resource Locks and Policies, key tools for protecting resources and enforcing organizational standards. This week solidified our ability to manage resources effectively and securely in Azure!
