Getting Started with Microsoft Entra is a foundational course designed for learners and IT professionals aiming to build expertise in identity and access management using Microsoft Entra. This course focuses on the core components of the Microsoft Entra suite, including Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), authentication methods, Conditional Access policies, and identity governance. Through a structured and interactive learning path, you’ll gain deep insights into managing user identities, configuring secure access, and enabling protection for both internal and external users across cloud environments. Whether you’re new to Entra or preparing for advanced identity certifications, this course will equip you with the essential skills and practical knowledge to confidently manage identity solutions within your organization. This course includes approximately 6:30–7:00 hours of video lectures, combining both theory and hands-on demonstrations. It is divided into three comprehensive modules, each broken down into focused lessons. To assess learning progress, every module features interactive quizzes and in-video practice questions that reinforce key concepts. Module 1: Microsoft Entra Fundamentals Module 2: Microsoft Entra: Access Management & Authentication Module 3: Microsoft Entra: Identity Lifecycle, Protection & Governance By the end of this course, you will be able to learn Understand what Microsoft Entra ID is and how it fits in the Entra product family. Welcome to Week 1 of the Getting Started with Microsoft Entra course. This week, we’ll explore the foundational elements of Microsoft Entra ID, part of the broader Microsoft Entra product family. You’ll learn how Entra ID supports identity and access management across cloud and hybrid environments. We’ll cover key concepts such as tenant and license management, sign-in and audit logs, and dive into Microsoft Entra Connect Health for monitoring and diagnostics. By the end of the week, you’ll have a strong grasp of how Microsoft Entra ID functions and how it helps manage secure and scalable identity infrastructure.

Microsoft Entra: Access Management & Authentication

Welcome to Week 2 of the Getting Started with Microsoft Entra course. In this week 2, we’ll shift our focus to access management and authentication in Microsoft Entra. You’ll learn how to configure and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), assign roles at various scopes, and interpret access assignments. This week also covers core authentication methods, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), passwordless sign-ins, pass-through authentication, and smart lockout protections. By the end of this module, you’ll be confident in setting up secure access policies and managing user authentication across your organization.

Microsoft Entra: Identity Lifecycle, Protection & Governance

Welcome to Week 3! This final module focuses on advanced topics including Conditional Access, Identity Governance, and External Identity Management. You’ll learn how to implement access policies, enforce least-privilege principles with Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and secure applications using Microsoft Entra Application Proxy. We’ll also explore how to manage external identities, integrate with various identity providers, and use Microsoft Entra Domain Services in hybrid scenarios. By the end of the week, you’ll be equipped with the skills to govern, protect, and extend identity access securely using Microsoft Entra.
