Through a combination of conceptual explanations, demonstrations, and real-world scenarios, you’ll gain practical knowledge of identity governance, compliance, and security operations across Microsoft environments. The course delivers approximately 9–11 hours of structured video content, organized into three modules. Each module includes quizzes and knowledge checks to reinforce learning and validate understanding. Identity Protection and Cloud Apps Security

In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in securing access to Microsoft cloud environments using Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps. You'll begin by exploring Conditional Access policies and gain an understanding of how Microsoft Entra ID enables organizations to enforce secure, context-aware access controls based on user identity, device compliance, location, risk level, and application access.As you progress, you'll discover Microsoft Entra ID Protection and learn how it detects identity-based risks, evaluates sign-in behavior, and helps organizations respond to compromised accounts through automated risk detection and remediation. Through guided demonstrations, you'll gain hands-on experience implementing Conditional Access policies and configuring Microsoft Entra ID Protection to strengthen identity security.

Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps: Security, Governance, and Workload Protection

Cloud applications are essential to modern organizations, but they also introduce security and compliance challenges. In this section, you’ll learn how to use Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps to gain visibility into cloud application usage, detect and investigate potential risks, and enforce security and governance policies. You’ll explore Cloud Discovery, configure file policies to safeguard sensitive information, and understand how Defender for Cloud Apps helps protect cloud workloads. By the end of this module, you’ll be equipped with the foundational knowledge needed to secure cloud applications and support a Zero Trust security strategy using Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.

Data Governance, Identity Governance, and Compliance

In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in data governance, identity governance, and compliance using Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID. You'll begin by exploring Microsoft Purview and gain an understanding of how it helps organizations discover, classify, protect, and govern sensitive data while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements across Microsoft cloud environments. As you progress, you'll discover Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Lifecycle Management, learning how to classify and protect sensitive information, apply retention and deletion policies, and manage organizational data throughout its lifecycle. You'll also explore Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management and eDiscovery solutions to identify internal risks, investigate compliance incidents, and support legal and regulatory requirements. The section further introduces Microsoft Entra ID Governance, enabling you to manage identity lifecycles and strengthen access governance across your organization. You'll learn how to automate user provisioning and deprovisioning, perform access reviews, and implement Privileged Identity Management (PIM) to secure administrative access. Through guided demonstrations, you'll also explore Microsoft Entra ID Protection and learn how to detect, assess, and respond to identity-related risks to enhance organizational security.
