Azure Identity, Governance, and Monitoring Solutions is a foundational course designed to introduce learners to key security and governance strategies in Azure. This course is the first part of the Exam Prep AZ-305: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert specialization. This course covers core Azure Identity, Governance, and Monitoring principles. It provides comprehensive insights into the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), the Azure Well-Architected Framework, and various Azure monitoring services. Learners will gain a deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, Azure subscriptions, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Microsoft Purview. This course is structured into three modules, each containing Lessons and Video Lectures. Learners will engage with approximately 5:30 - 6:00 hours of video content, covering both theoretical concepts and hands-on practice. Each module is supplemented with quizzes to assess learners' understanding and reinforce key concepts.   • Azure Architecture and Monitoring Essentials
    • Welcome to Week 1 of the Azure Identity, Governance, and Monitoring Solutions course. This week, we will explore Azure Fundamentals, Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well-Architected Framework, and Azure Monitoring Services. We'll begin with a course overview and exam best practices. As we progress, we will examine the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), its core components, and implementation best practices. We will also cover the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework, focusing on its design principles and how it helps in building resilient and cost-effective solutions. By the end of the week, we will dive into Azure Monitoring Services, understanding their significance in maintaining optimal performance and security. Practical demos will cover Azure Monitor, Azure Data Explorer, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, providing hands-on insights into monitoring and logging in Azure. We will also cover recommend solutions for routing logs and activity logs.
  • Microsoft Entra and Azure Security Solutions
    • Welcome to Week 2 of the Azure Identity, Governance, and Monitoring Solutions course. This week, we'll explore Microsoft Entra Identity and Access Management, focusing on securing access to Azure resources and applications. We will begin with an overview of Microsoft Entra and its product family. As we progress, we will delve intoEntra ID, including tenant management and external identity provider comparisons. We'll also cover Entra External ID and Entra Domain Services. By the end of the week, we will cover Azure Key Vault for secure secret management. Demos will show securing app configuration with Key Vault/App Configuration and Entra Private Access for on-premises users. We'll conclude with guidance on authentication solutions and file data access authorization in the Azure Portal.
  • Azure Governance, Access Management, and Data Catalog Solutions
    • Welcome to Week 3 of the Azure Identity, Governance, and Monitoring Solutions course. This week, we'll explore Azure Subscriptions and Governance, focusing on managing and controlling your Azure environment. We will begin with an overview of Azure Subscriptions and Governance. As we progress, we'll cover Microsoft Entra ID Governance, including key considerations, and delve into Azure Landing Zones. We will also cover Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), including an overview, Microsoft Entra RBAC, and managing users and groups within RBAC. By the end of the week, we will cover assigning Entra roles at different scopes, managing built-in Azure roles, and demonstrating Azure resource locks and tags. We will conclude with an overview of Microsoft Purview and Purview Data Catalog.
