Syllabus
- Equal Employment Law and Inclusivity Strategy
- In your first module, you will examine how employment laws, affirmative action, and employee resource groups support workplace fairness and inclusion. You will also explore how community outreach and social responsibility strengthen workforce strategy and organizational culture.
- Workplace Safety and Risk Management
- In this module, you will examine federal safety requirements and employer responsibilities for workplace health and security. You will also describe HR’s role in managing safety risks and supporting emergency preparedness, response, and business continuity planning.
- Workplace Investigations
- In this module, you will explore the procedures used to conduct fair and legally defensible workplace investigations. You will also identify post-investigation and documentation practices, assess strategies that encourage reporting, and explain key legal and regulatory requirements related to formal complaints.
- Labor Relations and Organizational Governance
- In your final module, you will identify employee rights under the NLRA and examine how organizations manage labor relations while avoiding unfair labor practices. You will also explore how handbooks, standard operating procedures, and workplace monitoring practices support compliance, consistency, and effective responses to complex situations.
