Successful projects depend on more than schedules and deliverables—they rely on strong relationships, clear communication, and effective collaboration. In Managing Stakeholders and Team Communication, you'll learn how to identify key stakeholders, understand their influence, and develop communication strategies that keep projects aligned from initiation through delivery. Through practical examples and hands-on exercises, you'll create stakeholder registers, communication matrices, engagement plans, and RACI charts that can be applied to real workplace projects. What makes this course unique is its strong emphasis on real-world application. Rather than focusing only on theory, you'll work through realistic project scenarios to practice prioritizing stakeholders, managing expectations, resolving communication challenges, and improving team accountability. By the end of the course, you'll have a toolkit of practical templates and frameworks that help reduce misunderstandings, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and improve project outcomes. Whether you're an aspiring project manager, team lead, or working professional collaborating across functions, this course will give you the confidence and skills to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders, and lead teams toward successful project delivery.

Syllabus

  • Stakeholder Identification and Prioritization
    • Knowing who has a stake in your project is the starting point of every successful delivery. This module helps learners identify internal and external stakeholders, classify them, and prioritize them using influence-interest grids, persona profiles, and engagement tiers. Learners transition from informal name lists to structured stakeholder analysis, applying these ideas to a real project case and consolidating their findings in a professional stakeholder register that captures interests, influence, communication needs, and related risks.
  • Communication Strategy and Engagement
    • Stakeholder analysis only creates value when it is followed by deliberate communication. This module equips learners to set communication objectives, choose between synchronous and asynchronous channels, and build a communication matrix that matches message, frequency, and ownership to each audience. Learners practice setting expectations early, resolving misunderstandings, and using feedback loops, then document the approach as a formal communication plan and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Team Collaboration and Accountability
    • Shared goals deliver results only when ownership is explicit. This module introduces the RACI chart as a way to define roles, responsibilities, and decision escalation across cross-functional teams, using collaborative tools such as Miro to visualize workflows, handoffs, and bottlenecks. Learners explore how trust, collaboration tools, and well-run team meetings strengthen remote and cross-functional teamwork, then apply escalation paths, accountability tracking, and conflict-resolution techniques to keep work moving and close the loop on decisions.
